There is a typing mistake in the denominator. The % is missing.
Numerator: 50% of 100% = 50/100 * 100/100 = 1/2
25% of that will be 25/100 * 1/2 = 1/8
denominator: 25% of 100% = 25/100 * 100/100 = 1/4
50% of 100% = 50/100 * 100/100 = 1/2
= 1/4 * 1/2 = 1/8
Answer is = 1/8 / (1/8)
= 1

Well I thought there is typing error in the denominator... If not, then the denominator will be: 25 * 50 ..... So ratio of Nr / Dr will be (1/8) /(25*50) = 1/10,000
