Answer:

155/7 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

First we will find the area of the quadrant,

Radius = 5 cm

Area of a quadrant = π x r² x 1/4

= 22/7 x 5 x 5 x 1/4 = 22/7 x 25/4 = 275/14 cm²

Now we will find area of trapezium,

Sum of parralel sides = 7 + 10 = 17 cm

Height = 5 cm  (Because angle c and angle b = 90 degree)

Area of trapezium = 1/2 x height ( sum of ║ sides)

1/2 x 5 x 17 = 85/2 cm²

Now area of shaded region = area of trapezium - area of quadrant

85/2 - 275/14

(585 - 275) / 14

310 /14  = 155/7 cm² (ans)

(Hope it helps you!)
