or, (x -1 + 35)/5 = (2x - 5 + 28)/7
or, (x + 34)/5 = (2x + 23)/7
or, 7(x+34) = 5(2x+23)
or, 7x + 238 = 10x + 115
or, 7x - 10x = 115 - 238
or, -3x = -123
or, x = -123/-3 = 41

Therefore, x = 41
