in triangle ABC

area of ΔABC = (1/2)*base*height

in first case lets take AB as base  then the height will be the perpendicular on AB That is, CF

so area of  triangle ABC =(1/2)*AB*CF   ..........................(1)

In case second  let's take AC as base then the height will be BE

So area of triangle ABC =(1/2)*AC*BE    ..............(2)

Since in both cases area of the same triangle ABC is calculated

and BE =CF (Given)

(1/2)*AC*BE = (1/2)*AB*CF

AC=AB    

Hence Proved
