The poet in the poem " people"  tells about the general public and a insight of the humanity . He thinks that people don't want to give space to other people , they do not comes near to each other in terms of humanity . He talks about the general society in his own way  and by telling about himself. That's why he don't want any one to come nearer to him because he is want to do what he want and thinks and don't love the interference of the others. So there should be toleration in order to give space to others.
