1) Things required to do the experiment are :

i) A string/rope (Shown in the figure)

ii) A small rock (Shown in the figure)

iii) A Beaker (Shown in the figure)

iv) Some water

2) Tie the string or rope to the small rock.

Then, pour the water into the beaker.

At, last drop the stone in the breaker (not full in water) holding the string.

3) The water level in the beaker increases.

Beacause,the small rock dropped in the water occupies space so, the water moves from there as the rock had occupied space there.Seeming to a increase in the water level.
