Let the speed of the boat be x and speed of the stream be y; then,

(x+y) = 6km/h

(x-y) = 4km/h

So, 2x = 10 km/h

or, x = 5 km/h

Thus, the boat's speed in still water is 5km/h.

The correct answer is (e)
