Answer:

It is absolute impossibe to crack an exam like ssc cgl or even a 10+2 level exam without coaching or I should say a little bit of guidance. And when I say coaching it not mean only physical coaching. It can be youtube videos, your brother, your friend or anybody who cracked exam already and who can give you a idea of preparation and your exam. Advice of a person who already went through this exam is hundred times better than a teacher who did not cleard exam. Not everyone is lucky enough to have someone who cleared such exams so most students need coaching. So you have to take help of internet. But you have to be careful in listening to those toppers or selected candidates.

Many toppers tell that they didn’t attend coaching and cracked exam with only self study. This is outright lie.

For example last cgl topper said that he didn’t anttend any coaching for ssc and there is no need to take coaching for anybody and cgl can be cleared by self study. But he he preapared for CAT for 1 year and took coaching for CAT so why he will need to preapre for cgl separately. And he was an iitian also.

Simillar example of an ias topper who said that she didn’t attend any coaching and there is no need to take coaching for UPSC. But her both parents were A grade officers who cracked UPSC and her grandmother was history lectrurer in some university which I didn’t remember clearly. Then why she need to attend coaching separately. She already got guidance and coaching in home.
