One example would be the oar of a rowboat or paddle of a canoe/raft/kayak. When used, it exerts a force on a fluid, and the fluid exerts a reaction force on the oar/paddle, which is communicated through body of the rower/paddler and into the water craft, propelling it in the direction opposite that which it imparts to the fluid.
Another example is the wheel/tire of a land vehicle, in which the force of static friction (the region of contact with a surface is instantaneously at rest with respect to the surface) between the wheel and the surface generates a reaction force that is transmitted through the wheel and the axle of the vehicle to propel the vehicle forward.
