As we know a company or joint-stock company is an artificial person created by law, so it can not sign its name. So a common seal is created and the name of the company is engraved on it. This common seal is the company's  signature and is thus affixed on all the contracts and documents of the company.

This seal is very important, because it backs the company's products, services and all other things of company. It also differentiates its products and services in the market.
