examples: )
-2-4=?
so, the - sign in between changes to + sign
actually the sign of 4 is+ve. it turns to negative as shown below,
-2+-4=-6
formulas
-------
- + - = +
eg;
-1+ -2= -3
- 5+2= -3<since 5 is greater than 2.> the sign of answer becomes -
if 5+ -2=3<since sign of large no is +ve>

There are various identities and fourmulae for solving integers ...................
1- -(-a) = +a
2- + X+=+ Signs the same: positive answer
3- − × + = - Signs different: negative answer
4- + x - = - Signs different: negative answer
5- − × − = + Signs the same: positive answer
6- + ÷ + = + Signs the same: positive answer
7- − ÷ + = − Signs different: negative answer
8- + ÷ − = − Signs different: negative answer
9- − ÷ − = + Signs the same: positive answer
properties-
1- closure property of subtraction
example of subtraction= (-30)-(-9)=(-21)
2-Commutative property under subtraction:
example= 8 – (– 6) = 8 + 6 = 14
3-Associative property under subtraction:
example=5 – (6 – 4) = 5 – 2 = 3
hope it helps u plzzzzz mark it as the best
