I want to know why plant cells need cell walls?

Plant cells need cell walls because it protects the cell membrane and provide structure and support.

in the plant cell due to osmosis and respiration, cell becomes turgid.....
due to pressure on the cells it have the chances of bursting.....so to prevent that cell wall is necessary... it prevents the cell from bursting and damge due to its rigidity and power to bear the stress and pressure...and it also provides shape and structure to the cell.....
