Not sure but i think it should be either personification or a metaphor.

A personification is a figure of speech in which a non living thing is told be doing something a living can do. Example - Lighting danced across the sky.

A metaphor is a figure of speech in which one object is said to have the qualities of another object. Example - as bright as the moon.
