The quest for knowledge, like everything else of value, is not to be obtained easily. It must be worked for, studied for, thought for, and more than that must be prayed for. To encourage the students to widen their knowledge on our father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, GG International school had organized Inter House Mahatma Gandhi Quiz Competition on the eve of Rashtrapita Janmahotsav held on 11 February 2013. The day was also celebrated as Grandparents Day. The grandparents of std. VI to VIII were invited to the event.

Three students of each house from std. VI to VIII participated in the competition.The first round was a rapid fire round. Each team was asked three questions. The second round was a visual round. In the third round, each team was asked one question based on Gandhiji's life which they had to answer in twenty seconds. All the teams were well prepared and the competition was very tough. The students surprised the audience with their in-depth knowledge and information on Mahatma Gandhi. The quiz masters were Mihir Kaslikar, Dhruv Panchal and Chaitanya Kulkarni of Std XII. They conducted the quiz expertly and confidently.

The grandparents were also asked questions as a part of the quiz which they enthusiastically answered. They were awarded for answering correctly. The results were announced at the end of the quiz. Ayush Mallick, of std. VI, Shambhavi Sabah of std. VII and Saurabh Vaidya of std VIII of Eklavya House were declared the winners and Anjali Nair of std. VI, Shllok Gupta of std. VII and Gauri Menon of std. VIII of Dhruv House has adjudged the runners-up.
