I wanted to know what is the major difference between state and union territory?​

State is governed by state government but union terotory is governed by central

The major difference is that STATE HAVE THERE OWN GOVT. WHEREAS UNION TERRITORIES ARE FEDERAL TERRITORIES THAT ARE DIRECTLY GOVEREND BY THE CENTRAL GOVT.
