Answer:
An Experience That Taught me Something
Life is a continuous learning process. Whatever happens in life – whether good or bad – leaves an impact on us which later on becomes learning and experience. Some incidents in our life leave deep impact on us and leave us transformed. One such transforming experience transpired with me in my childhood. I was in the school cricket team; I had not been in good form. The stress of scoring in matches was on me; if I did not score, I could be replaced by any other player. I usually remained sad and depressed. However hard I practiced, but to no avail.
Next week a crucial match was approaching. With each approaching day the burden on me began increasing. On a Sunday evening, my father asked me to accompany a religious place where he usually went every Sunday. I accompanied him; he asked me to come inside and pay obeisance to the Spiritual Master in whose remembrance the place had been set up.
I sat in front of the holy statue listening to holy hymns. I prayed to God to help me play well in the next match. Tears welled up in my eyes as I prayed. I felt quite peaceful afterwards.
On Monday morning I had my match. Quite unexpectedly, my name was announced in the playing eleven. I scored 50 in that match and was awarded man of the match. I was amazed at the coincidence. My prayer had been answered so fast. The lesson that I learnt from this incident is when things get out of control, ask for help from God; and God always helps us. I have become quite spiritual after that incident. I often pray to God for all the good things of life.
