This statement is from the short story the address written by Marga Minco.

The story is about the daughter who goes in search of her mother’s belongings after the war in Holland and the stuff evokes her memories.

The narrator Marga Minco was absolutely not interested in that stored stuff.

The author was absolutely not interested in all that stored stuff as it belonged to her mother and she was dead.

EXPLANATION:

In the short story ‘The Address’ by Marga Minco, the author come narrator decides to locate an address where all her family stuff had been stored before the war. Belonging to the Jewish community, she and her family had to flee during the ‘Nazi era’. A Christian lady had volunteered to keep their belongings in her house. It is her address the narrator sought.

The author was absolutely not interested in all that stored stuff as it belonged to her mother and she was dead. The stuff was their prized possession. Her mother had taken great care of them. But her death left a great impact on the author. She did not have any interest in the stuff as all the things were associated with her mother. They reminded her of her dead mother and greatly pained her. She wanted to leave behind the memories and move on.
