... I got scared! this hen just flew out of no where, on the table and I just fell backwards.
Everyone in the restaurant got scared and stopped eating as I shouted for help!
The waiters quickly came in and tried to catch the bird.
The hen was very quick! and it became apparent how difficult it was for these people to catch it. It actually became hilarious as over 20 different people tried to catch the hen as it went from one table to another, on to the bar, even in the toilets.
Finally, everyone was asked to go outside the restaurant and the door was closed. The cook was called in and it was found that the hen actually belongs to the restaurant and it was about to be cooked but it ran away for it's life.
We went through various emotions, first we were scared, then we laughed and now when we heard that the hen was only trying to save itself, we became sympathetic
I stepped in and told the owner of the restaurant that I wanted to buy the hen and take it as a pet. He looked at me in awe bu then readily agreed.
I paid Rs. 1,000 for the hen, a premium considering it would not cost more than Rs.100 in a village.
That day, I had a bad lunch but I got a new pet!
