"A day with my brother. "

- William Franklyn

I was sitting down with the hot popcorn bowl when the doorbell rang..... 'trrrring trrrring'... I froze. Who could it be this late at night? I was alone at home. Somehow, I managed to gather all my strengths and with my heart out-beating at a tremendous rate I went to the doorway and looked out through the peephole. I noticed no one around the enter-way. I wondered, who could it be? After thinking for a while I slammed open the door. I couldn't believe my eyes for what I saw. It was James from Texas. My brother whom I haven't seen for years.

I blissfully welcomed him in the house. He asked me where mom and dad were. I told him that they were out at our grandpa's and would be home the morning next to tomorrow. We both enjoyed the hot popcorn while watching the TV and snoozed out. The next morning when I woke up I found him preparing Spaghetti for our breakfast. We enjoyed the noodles with some soft drinks.

After we ate, James asked,"Wanna spend the day out?", I replied,"Sure, Why not? A day without the rules of mom and dad, right?". He replied me,"Right! How about the Notting Hill Carnival, it'll be fun!". I was excited to go out at the carnival and replied him "Yes! It'll be off the records!". We left at 12.00 noon for the carnival and in the other half hour we were at our destination. A huge crowd was assembled at the park. All came to see the famous Notting Hill Carnival. We enjoyed alot there and thereafter went to the Market Hall, Victoria for having some food and came back home. James asked,"It was fun, today. Wasn't it?" and I replied,"Yeah, It was. I'm gonna tell mom and dad how much we enjoyed today. Surely, they'll be jealous!". We both laughed.
