I was traveling in a car from *A* to *B* on unknown road. After traveling a certain distance, I asked driver "How much distance we have traveled ?"
He replied "Half as far as we still have to travel."

After traveling three kilometre more I asked "How much distance we have to travel ?"

He replied "Half as much as we have already travelled."

Can you find the distance between *A* and *B*.

The total distance between A and B is 9 km.

• First time the driver said, “half as far as we still have to travel ”. That means distance covered was 1/3 of total distance.

• Second time the driver said , “ half as much as we have already travelled”. That means they travelled 2/3 of total distance.

• Distance between 2/3 part of distance and 1/3 part of distance = 3 km

Thus , total distance = 9 km.
