Assume the cost price of product to be ₹1000
Now you see that price is increased by 15% which means selling price is ₹1150.

Now you seek a discount of 15% on selling price i.e. 15% of 1150= ₹173.

Thus you will purchase the product for ₹ 977.

Which means that the shopkeeper is suffering a loss of ₹23.

Thus loss percentage would be (23/1000) x 100
i.e. 2.3%
