(b) The Shepherd always carried it because it was his only treasure.It would be with him even if his royal robes were taken away someday.

(c) It is an example of both humility and wisdom. The high position in the king's Court did not make him forget his life as a poor Shepherd. He also remained polite as always. He was wise enough to know that riches may not stay with a person forever.
