Answer:

(I) Urbanisation is the increase in the proportion of people living in towns and cities. Urbanisation occurs because people move from rural areas (countryside) to urban areas (towns and cities). This usually occurs when a country is still developing.

(ii) The important features of urbanization are as follows:

Fast Growth in Urban Population: Between 1961-71 the growth rate of population in urban areas was over 38%. ...

Large Increase in big owns: Another noteworthy feature of urbanization is that there has been a substantial increase in the population of big towns.

(iii) Treatment in larger hospitals. Natural disaster like drought and flood results in people loosing their livelihood. Such people are forced to move towards cities in search of better life. Ex: Migration of farmers from drought prone Vidarbha region.

(IV) For example, education, health, cultural activities, social services and all other kinds of services are lot more available in the cities and urban areas. Also cities have more advanced communication and transportation networks. In short, urbanization means better easier life for people and higher life quality.

(V) these activities raise several urbanization issues. Poor air and water quality, insufficient water availability, waste-disposal problems, andon density and demands of urban environments. Strong city planning will be essential in managing these and other difficulties as the world's urban areas swell.
