★ Answer :
pH scale is used to measure that the solution is acidic or basic. We can measure the the value of solutions from 1 to 14 scales. If the pH value is from 1 to 7 then it is acidic and if the value of pH is from 7-14 it is basic

The pH of the pure water(Distilled water) is 7 which means it is a neutral( neither acidic nor basic) solution but the oH of the rainwater is 5 to 5.5 means it is acidic.

Explanation:
1) pH scale: The pH scale is logarithmic and inversely indicates the concentration of Hydrogen ions in the solution.
- 2) Pure water is neutral in nature and has a 7 pH value while rainwater is slightly acidic in nature and its pH is 5.6.
- Rainwater contains dissolves carbon dioxide which reacts with water and forms carbonic acid hence acidic in nature.
