i) The Estates General of 1789 was a general assembly representing the French estates of the realm: the clergy (First Estate), the nobility (Second Estate), and the commoners (Third Estate), the last of Estates General of Kingdom of France. Summoned by King Louis XVI, it was brought to an end when the Third Estate formed into a National Assembly, inviting the other two to join, against the wishes of the King. This signaled the outbreak of the French Revolution.
ii) In 1791, the National Assembly completed drafting the Constitution.
The main objective of the constitution was to frontier the power of the monarchy.
Instead of being concentrated in single hands, these powers were divided to different institutions or bodies such as legislature, judiciary and execution.
iii) The electors who have been elected by active citizens (people who pay money equal to 3 day labours wage except women) have a right to vote for national assembly.

iii) There were rumours that the landlords of the manor had hired some people to destroy the ripened crops. Being afraid of the situation, peasants in several districts seized hoes and pitchforks and attacked chateaux (castles belonging to the noblemen). They looted hoarded grain in the market. They had also burnt the documents containing records of the manorial dues.
With the result, a large number of nobles fled from their homes and migrated to the neighbouring countries.
iv) Active citizens are citizens who are literate and have knowledge about the law. They have a continuous income and consist of the right to vote. Passive citizens are citizens who are illiterate and have no knowledge about law and government. They don't have jobs but they are under the protection of government.
