When our lungs are not able to supply proper oxygen to the body. If the brain is functioning alright the artificial respiration will be need temporarily otherwise permanently. They can get the artificial supply of oxygen by the oxygen pumps.

2)Artificial respiration is a temporary arrangement which provides relief to the person who cannot be able to breathe properly. Artificial respiration is provided permanently only to the patients who are in coma and cannot breathe of their own.
