so,

=> 8+(n-1).4=48

=> (n-1).4=48-8=40

=> n-1=40/4=10

ii)In this series first term a =20 and common difference d =16-20= -4

let -96 is the nth term

so,

a+(n-1)d= -96

=> 20+(n-1).-4= -96

=> (n-1).-4= -96-20= -116
