Answers
Answer:
(i) In addition to the narrator, the two other onlookers of the fight were a myna and a wild crow. First of all they sat on the cactus plant to watch the outcome of the fight. In the end, they took part in the game. Both tried to pick up the cobra for their meal.
The crow got bitten and died. The mongoose dragged the snake away into the bushes. The myna also flew away.
(ii)A camel's hump does not hold water at all – it actually stores fat. The camel uses it as nourishment when food is scarce. If a camel uses the fat inside the hump, the hump will become limp and droop down. With proper food and rest the hump will return to normal.
(iii)The shop was called Lucky Shop because the shopkeeper wanted everybody to try their luck. There were discs on the table with numbers from one to ten facing down. All one had to do was to pay 50 paise, pick up any six discs, add up the numbers on the discs and find the total.
