(I)

Calcium is the fifth most abundant element in the earth’s crust it is never found free in nature since it can form compounds easily by reacting with oxygen and water. Calcium is reactive element as it readily loses two electrons in order to obtain octet.Due to its high reactivity, calcium tends to react with other element to form compound.

(ii) Diamond and iodine are two exceptions and are lustrous non-metal.
