1) metals possess lustre as it reflects most of the light, very less amount of light is absorbed which makes it look shiny that is, lustrous. example- iron, gold

2) hardness is the amount of force which a metal or non metal can withstand/absorb.

examples of hard metals - iron, platinum, etc

3)non metals are all the objects on our planet which are not made up of metals or not possess characters of metals

examples of non metals

diamond-hardest non metal

all the chemicals (sodium, iodine etc)
