Answer:

Avg Speed = 50km/hr

Avg Velocity = 0

Explanation:

Total Distance = 250(in morning) + 250(in evening) = 500km

Total Time = 5(in morning) + 5(in evening) = 10hr

Total Displacement = 250(in morning) - 250(in evening) = 0km

a) We know that,  Average Speed = \frac{Total Distance}{Total Time}

 = \frac{500}{10} km/hr

 = 50km/hr

a) We know that,  Average Velocity = \frac{Total Displacement}{Total Time}

 = \frac{0}{10} km/hr

 = 0

avg \: speed = \frac{ (speed1 + speed2)}{2}  \\ speed \: 1 =  \frac{250}{5}  \\  = 50ms \\ speed2 =  \frac{250}{5}  = 50ms \\ avg \: speed = \frac{(50 + 50)}{2}  \\  = 50ms

Avg velocity=0
