Distance of image ( v ) = - 10 cm

We know that :

Linear magnification = v / u

                                  = - 10 cm / - 30 cm

                                  = 1 / 3

                                  = 0.333 ........

Linear magnification is less than 1 ...

Hence the image will be diminished.

The image will be smaller than the object.

Answer :

Linear magnification = 0.33

Image is smaller than object .
