Here's an example to make you understand just take a pure white flower but make sure it's stem should be a bit long now with the help of a knife simply split the stem into two parts but make sure you don't separate them you need to split it,.. now take two adjacent glasses or beaker and pour water, mix two different colours in both of them and now simply put one half of stem in first beaker and then the another split in the second and after some time you'll observe that the white flower has turned into a two coloured flower...
