Shylock was going to kill Antonnio because Antonnio had borrowed money from shylock who is a landlord. When he was borrowing money Shylock asked what he want to do if Antonnio failed to pay back the money. Antonnio was sure that he will get the soon and he could pay it. So he told Shylock that if he failed to pay it back he could take a pound of his flesh from his chest. But after some days antonnio did not get the money and failed in his promise.
