Answer :

➥ The final velocity of a trolley = 32 cm/s

Given :

➤ Acceleration of a trolley (a) = 4 cm/s²

➤ Time taken by a trolley (t) = 8 sec

To Find :

➤ Final velocity of a trolley (v) = ?

Solution :

We can Acceleration by using the first equation of motion which says v = u + at.

The trolley is on the inclined plane.

Therefore, we have Intial velocity of a trolley, Acceleration of a trolley and it's time taken by a trolley,

  • Intial velocity of a right (u) = 0 cm/s
  • Acceleration of a trolley (a) = 4 cm/s²
  • Time taken by a trolley (t) = 8 sec

☃️ So let's find the final velocity of a trolley by using the formula:

From first equation of motion

→ v = u + at

→ v = 0 + 4 × 8

→ v = 0 + 32

v = 32 cm/s

Hence, the final velocity of a trolley is 32 cm/s.

Some related equations :

⪼ v = u + at

⪼ s = ut + ½ at²

⪼ v² = u² + 2as

Where,

  • v is the final velocity.
  • u is the intial velocity.
  • a is the acceleration.
  • t is the time taken.
  • s is the distance.

➜ Initial velocity of the trolley, u = 0 (at the rest)

➜ Acceleration of the trolley , a = 4 cm/s²

= 0.04 m/s²

➜Time taken, t = 8 seconds

As per first law of motion,we know that

\boxed{\bf{\red{★v=u+at}}}

➞ V = 0 + 0.04 × 8 m/s

➞ V = 0.04 × 8 m/s

\boxed{\bf{\purple{V=0.32\:m/s}}}

Therefore,the final velocity of the trolley

is 0.32 m/s
