I / wish / all of you / happy new year - SVOC is the sentence pattern

  • I is the subject which represents the first person noun. Usually, they are nouns. Eg: I, WE, HE, SHE, IT or any form of noun
  • Wish - It is the verb which represents the action or work done by the subject. Eg: run, play, sleep etc.
  • All of you - It is the Object. These are nouns with which the subject directly communicates in a sentence. Here in the example, It is seen that I wish all of you where the subject "I" directly wishes "all of you". The relationship is direct and evident. The difference between subject and object is the former is "doer of the action" and later is "receiver of the action".
  • Happy new year - This is the complement. In a sentence, Complements are those which describes the subject or object in a sentence. If they are removed from a sentence, they do not give a complete meaning to the sentence.
