Given for a Geometric progression

First term, b₁ = 1/9

Common ratio, q = 3

So, Tᵣ = b₁qʳ⁻¹

Let us suppose 243 be a term of the given sequence, so,

We must get r as a natural number if 243 is a term of the given sequence

Hence,

Tᵣ = 243 (Suppose)

 or \: \frac{1}{9}  \times  {3}^{r - 1}  = 243

or, 3⁻² × 3ʳ⁻¹ = 3⁵

or, 3ʳ⁻³ = 3⁵

or, r - 3 = 5

or, r = 8

Since, we get a natural number as the value of r

Hence, 243 is the 8th term of the given sequence.
