the name of two element in group 1

  1. sodium
  2. hydrogen

chemical reaction takes place while formation of hydride and oxide of in group 1 elements

Oxide

Na + O2 -> Na2O

H + o2->H2O

Hydride

Na + H -> NaH

k + H ->KH

two properties of group 1 element

  1. group 1 elements are highly reactive.
  2. group 1 elements having valency 1.

Explanation:

the above answer is correct but let me do it perfect because we can't write ONLY H (hydrogen while writing in symbol) the reactions will be

oxides

4Na+O2—>2Na2O

2H2+O2—>2H2O

hydrides

2Na+H2—>2NaH

2K+H2—>2KH

hope it helps .... write the ans above but write these equations if u want to get Mark's because council will cut marks even if u not write one 2 after the symbol of hydrogen

H2 is correct

but H is wrong while writing equations!!
