Answer:

I hope its helpful for you

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the right answer be x and losing answer be y.

then , according the question,

3x_y=40.........(1) case(1)....

4x_2y=50........(2) case(2).....

subtracting eq(1)and eq(2).......

3x_y=40

_

4x_2y=50

multiply by 2 in eq(1).......

2(3x_y=40)

6x_2y=80

_

4x_2y=50

_ + _

2x = 30

x=15

putting the value of x in eq(1).....

3x_y=40

3×15_y=40

45_y=40

y=5

The total no of question are x+y

x+y

15 +5 = 20

Let the right answer be x and losing answer be y .

then , according the question ,

3x_y = 40........( 1 ) case ( 1 )........

4x_2y = 50........( 2 ) case ( 2 )........

subtracting equation ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) ........

3x_y = 40

_

4x_2y = 50

multiply by 2 in equation ( 1 )......

2 ( 3x_y = 40 )

6x_2y = 80

_

4x_2y = 50

_ + _

2x = 30

x = 15

putting the value of x in equation ( 1 ).....

3x_y = 40

3 × 15_y = 40

45_y = 40

y = 5

The total number of questions are x + y....

x + y

5 + 15 = 20
