DEAR STUDENT
The elements in group IA are lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, caesium and francium....they are called alkali metals.....alkali metals have the tendency to lose an electron to become stable and complete their octet so they are electropositive and very reactive alkali metals
They are so called ‘alkali’ metals because they form strong alkaline hydroxides which is basic in nature.....
hope it helped.......pls o mark it as BRAINLIEST
