Concept

Place value in mathematics describes the position or location of a digit in a number. Each digit has its place in the number. When we represent a number in general form, the position of each digit will be expanded. These positions start from the unit location or we also call it positions. The ordinal value of the digits of a number from right to left is ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousand, hundred thousand, and so on.

4-digit numbers are numbers that consist of only 4 digits, the first digit should be 1 or greater than 1, and the rest of the digits can be any number between 0 and 9.

Given

It is given that a number is a 4-digit number

Find

If the digit is reversed, it becomes a 3- digit number. We need to find the digit in ones place

Solution

The digit in ones place is zero

Because if be put zero in ones place, then the digit is 4- digit number and by reversing it's order we get a 3-digit number

Hence the digit in ones place is 0
