The main issue is that you are thinking to take a easier way, whereas your focus should be on selecting subjects of your interest be it arts ,science or commerce. Let me tell you one thing if you were truely interested to join IAF this question must have never arised in your mind! But even if you make your mind for IAS you have lot of time now ,so now just take subjects of your interest and study well.

As you asked which is easier then both are challenging in their own aspects .That's why it's important to you to discover your own interest. As of now take subjects of your interest ,study them properly and by the time you complete your 12th everything will be crystal clear to you .

khushboo016: UPSC has not any boundation. You can go in it from any land of subject. But you should be interested in general knowledge and general studies. maths is not too important for upsc

khushboo016: All the maths in competitive exams are based on small tricks not on the long and heavy formulas and theorems of mathematics

khushboo016: But if you are interested in luxury life then you should be look up for another option because for pilot you have to intermediate with science and for crack IAS exam you have to hard worker because it needs very deep knowledge in gk, gs and mostly in history and politics

a ias because if u become a ias you can help in growth of country you could be help country to be strong. But if you become a pilot you will fly in sky and help in transport. It is also a social work but you couldn't be do so much for your country. You couldn't change anything in society and country.
