If 40 men can make 30 boxes in 20 days, 24 men are needed to make 60 boxes in 25 days

Explanation:

From the given question

M1 = 40 Men , D1 = 20 days , W1 = 30 Boxes

M2 = 40 + M , D2 = 25 days , W2 = 60 Boxes

We know that ,

\Rightarrow \frac{M_{1} D_{1}}{W_{1}}=\frac{M_{2} D_{2}}{W_{2}}

\Rightarrow \frac{40 \times 20}{30}=\frac{(40+\mathrm{M}) \times 25}{60}

\Rightarrow 40 \times 20 \times 2=(40+\mathrm{M}) \times 25

\Rightarrow(40+M)=8 \times 8=64 \text { men } \Rightarrow M=64-40=24 \text { men }
