In keeping data and information for banking process IBM designed machineries are used.  

American technology of the multinational company i.e. IBM  which is situated at New York and performing work around 170 countries.

In the year 1973 IBM introduced the high speed processor machine for documents.  

Banks use this machines for sorting of tally work and other utility functions carried out by banks

MICR code written at the underneath of the document is being interpreted by this machine which works accordingly.  

It totals the cheques and sorts them in a sequential manner.
