At 1 atm pressure and 273.15 K temperature, ice and water are present in equilibrium.

Ice ⇔Water

But when the pressure of the system is increased to 2 atm , the equilibrium is disturbed. Keeping the temperature constant and increasing the pressure leads to the shift in the equilibrium towards the forward direction which results in the decrease in the volume of the system.

The reduction in the volume of the system leads to the complete melting of the ice.
