Due to the process of condensation . The temperature inside the glass i.e. the temperature of water is very low compared to the room temperature . Thus , when the cold water or surface of glass containing cold water comes in contact with the room temperature then condensation takes place and water droplets appear on the surface of the glass.

In plastic glass their will be more droplets due to condensation .The temperature of the glass is cold enough to cool down the water vapour in the surrounding air so it turns from gas to liquid
