Ice kept in a beaker, slowly melts & turns into water. The water in the beaker on solidification i.e. freezing turns black to ice. Give 4 reasons why the change from ice to water & water back to ice is considered a physical change.

Answer:

Hey there,

Change of ice to water or vice versa is considered as a physical change because:

  • No new substance is formed
  • There is no change in chemical composition
  • It is reversible
