ICE FLOATS ON WATER BECAUSE ITS DENSITY IS LOW IN COMPARISON OF WATER.

Ice floot on water because it's mass is less then water.

IN SIMPLE WAY....

Due to upthrust the upward pressure on the ice increases that's why ice floot on the water.
