ice. WORD PROBLEMS A gardener wants to fence a circular garden of diameter 21 m. Find the length of the rope he needs to purchase, if he makes 2 rounds of fence. Also, find the cost of the rope, if its cost ₹4 per metre.​

Answer:

Given : Diameter = 21m

Radius = 21/2 = 10.5

To find : length of rope = Circumference of circle = 2πr

Circumference = 2x 22/7 x 10.5 = 66 m.

length of rope = 66m

since, gardener wants to make 2 round = 2x66 = 132 m.

Ans : Total rope required to fence the circular garden is 132 m.

cost of rope = 4x 132= 528 Rs.
