Hey! I gave my board exam in 2016, here are a few tips:

1) Remember each and every reaction and its products and any changes that occur during it. A lot many questions from Section A are based on these things. It will take time for you to remember these things but now is the right time to start working on that.

2) The Practical Chemistry chapter is important. Properties of gases for identification is asked a lot too. Learn the table that is in that chapter.

3) Remember the Alloys topic in the chapter Metallurgy, questions are asked from that part.

4) Electrolysis. This chapter will get you marks. Remember the cathodes, anodes, electrolyte. Usually they'll ask you what cathode/anode/electrolyte was present in (whichever) Electrolysis.
